C8 + Elcan
Hey, I was wondering if putting a 4X magnification ElKen(G&P) on my gun would be worth it. Is it too much magnification for an airsoft gun or what?

No, not really. Elcans and Acogs are pretty common.

4x is the most powerful that you can really use on an AEG. Anything above that is useless. In case of the Elcan, I have the CA Elcan M145 replica sight on my C7, and it's great.

i've read bad things about the g&p brand elcan on this forum. You might want to look into this before buying.

Huangs Elcan is pretty damn good for the money, I do not own one though, so I can't speak for it's durability. I viewed it at TAC09, and I was impressed with the optics.

I use a 4X scope on my SVD and I can't stand it.
I find 4X is FAR too much magnification for airsoft. |

That's what I though it would be...haha. I think I'll just go with an Aimpoint or EOtech...too bad the EOtechs don't work well outside, kinda narrows it down to an Aimpoint.

yeh...haha. Even the Hurricanes work ok outside, but they're more than what I can justify to pay for

I have a G&P Eotech, it is fine outside except in the very brightest of conditions. Then I find using the tinted lens in my goggles helps.
